Assets available to support industry-wide recruitment activity
Today the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) 2022/23 New Generation Programme Broking group have launched a new campaign to address the insurance industry’s talent gap, and common misconceptions around insurance careers. Campaign assets will be freely available for use, helping to strengthen the industry’s collective efforts in attracting new talent.
The Insurance Influencer campaign aims to positively showcase the insurance sector, with young people and those who may be looking for a career change as the target audience. The campaign video shows the variety of different opportunities and avenues that exist within the sector, and highlights the role of insurance in areas that the general public may not immediately consider, such as festivals, farming, renewable energy, and cyber. A digital flyer accompanies the video, providing further context and additional information regarding insurance careers.
The campaign assets are intended as a tools for the sector and their use is encouraged within any activity that may be deemed beneficial to the insurance industry. They available for free download at www.cii.co.uk/insuranceinfluencer.
A range of firms, including Howden, Partners&, Romero, and Yutree, have already taken steps to adopt the group’s work within their recruitment and promotional activity.
The 2022/23 New Generation Programme Broking group issued the following statement: “We are thrilled to launch the Insurance Influencer campaign and give back to the industry that has given us so much. The CII’s New Generation Programme is a flagship development opportunity for insurance professionals with five or more years’ experience within their field. Cohorts are split into four groups, representing each of the four general insurance sectors: London market, underwriting, broking, and claims. The groups are given the opportunity to work on a project or initiative that they believe could make a different to the insurance profession, presenting their conclusions and outputs back to the CII Group board at the end of the programme year.
