An initiative, known as ‘Realigning the Partnership’ (previously known as ‘New Deal’), was discussed with volunteers at our annual Network Conference in June this year. We subsequently conducted a comprehensive consultation exercise to identify how volunteers felt the network could be better supported, and we were pleased to receive a 90% response rate.
With local institutes having outlined their top priorities, and an overview of where support is required, a paper was drafted outlining potential next steps. It covered the local membership proposition, career support, exams training, corporate relationships, and centralised non-financial support. This paper was presented and discussed at the Local Institute National Forum meeting on 19 September, and revisions were made following a positive discussion.
The revised paper was welcomed by the CII Group Board on 6 October and the initiative will now move forward, with a project delivery team being formed shortly. The CII also recognises that staff resources need to be increased which we would look to do so in 2024.
Please contact your Regional Membership Manager if you have any questions in relation to this email or the ‘Realigning the Partnership’ initiative more generally.
