Following the launch of the Realigning the Partnership initiative last year, institutes fed back (via the questionnaire) that they would like to see more support for smaller local institutes to ensure that they did not face potential cash flow problems throughout the year. This was developed into Theme 8 of the realigning the Partnership initiative - GRANTS.
The regional membership team have been working with the CIIs finance department to develop a process that would support those institutes who have an annual ordinary grant of less that £10,000.
These institutes, of which there are 16, will now receive a first tranche ordinary grant of 80% of their annual funding to support cash flow. All other institutes will continue to receive a first tranche ordinary grant of 50% of their annual funding.
Institutes receiving a first tranche grant of 80% are:
- Aberdeen
- Chester and North Wales
- Coventry
- Guernsey
- Hull
- Inverness
- Isle of Man
- Jersey
- Kendal
- Lincoln
- Middlesbrough
- Perth and Dundee
- Shropshire and Mid Wales
- Stoke
- Stratford Upon Avon
- Swansea
All institute treasurers have now been written to informing them of their annual ordinary grant payment.
