International Underwriting Association confirm sponsorship of two CII qualification prizes
It has been announced that the International Underwriting Association (IUA) will provide sponsorship for two CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) Marine unit prizes. Beginning this year, the IUA will sponsor prizes for the M90 and M98 units, to be awarded as part of the CII’s annual prize giving ceremony.

UAE Central Bank cites CII Advanced Diploma in new legislation mandating insurance qualifications
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Central Bank has today (17 Feb) introduced new legislation which mandates professional qualifications for senior insurance representatives, and cites the Chartered Insurance Institute’s (CII) Advanced Diploma as exemplary of the internationally recognised qualifications that will be required by CEOs and other similarly ranked management representatives.

Realigning the Partnership update – September / October
Following its launch at the 2023 Network Conference, local institutes were given the opportunity to feedback to a questionnaire asking how the CII could further support their volunteer role and the local membership proposition. The feedback was used to develop nine key themes which would develop the work and support the CII gives to our local institute volunteers. Working with internal stakeholders eight of the nine themes will be complete by the end of 2024.
